Eric

This week I responded to Linda and Eric’s journals and reflected on how their goals compare to mine. It was helpful to see their long-term planning and self-awareness, and it gave me ideas for improving my own goal setting.

Possible Capstone Projects:

AI Study Assistant for Online Students – A web-based application that helps students organize assignments, generate personalized study schedules, and summarize notes using artificial intelligence.

Smart Campus Navigation App – A mobile app that provides an interactive campus map, helping students locate classrooms, labs, and other important resources quickly and easily.

Personal Finance Tracker with Analytics – A budgeting application that tracks income and expenses, analyzes spending habits, and provides predictions to help users manage their finances more effectively.

Learning Journal Update:

Learning Journal Update – Week Reflection

This week really helped me think more seriously about my capstone project and what I want it to represent. After watching several presentations, I realized that the strongest projects were not just technically impressive. They clearly solved a real problem and showed growth in both skills and confidence. It helped me understand how important planning, organization, and time management are when working on a long term project. I also learned that choosing the right tools and technologies can make a big difference in how successful and realistic a project turns out.

This week also made me reflect on my future plans. I have started thinking more about applying for internships so I can gain hands on experience and better understand how software development works in a professional setting. I believe real world experience would help me build stronger technical skills and improve my ability to collaborate with a team. I am also considering graduate school, especially in areas like artificial intelligence or data science, because I am interested in continuing to grow academically and professionally. Overall, this week helped me connect what I am learning now to the direction I want to take after graduation.
