1/13/2026 First Learning Journal Post  The first week of my CSUMB Computer Science Online program is done, and it’s been exciting getting started. In CST 349, we learned about CSUMB’s history and staff, explored how to work effectively online, and set up our blogs and LinkedIn profiles. We also talked about AI tools like ChatGPT and shared prompts that can help with schoolwork. In CST 300, we reviewed academic writing and created outlines for an industry analysis essay. I chose to focus on software engineering and Epic Games because of my interest in the field, the company’s location, and my experience with Fortnite and other Epic titles over the years. I’m looking forward to diving deeper into both classes and seeing where the program takes me over the next couple of years.
