Week 8 Final Journal

For this assignment, I reviewed the video at https://youtu.be/iS8iI3reEgk and approached it from the perspective of a presentation coach. Overall, I think the team did a strong job covering their topic. The information was organized in a way that made sense, starting with a clear introduction and then building into more detailed explanations. It was easy to follow their main points, and they showed a solid understanding of the material. Their research seemed reliable and relevant, and they supported their ideas well. I do think the presentation could have been even stronger if they had included a few more real-life examples to make the content feel more concrete and relatable. The speakers communicated clearly and at a steady pace, and for the most part, the transitions between team members felt smooth. A little more practice together might have made those transitions even more natural. The video and audio quality were good, and the slides were readable and helpful. Adding a few more engaging visuals or brief demonstrations could have made the video even more dynamic. Overall, the project was interesting to watch, and it was clear that everyone contributed. The level of detail felt appropriate for a general audience with some technical knowledge because they explained concepts without making them overly complicated.

Looking back on my own experience in this class, I’ve realized how important clear communication is, especially when explaining technical topics. It’s not just about understanding the material yourself, but about being able to present it in a way that others can easily understand. Throughout our project, my team stayed connected through group chats and shared documents, which helped us divide tasks and stay organized. Each person was responsible for researching and preparing part of the presentation, and then we worked together to make sure everything flowed well as one complete project. We gave each other feedback and made adjustments before finalizing the video, which really helped improve the overall quality. If we were to do it again, I think we could benefit from setting up more scheduled meetings earlier on and doing at least one full practice run before recording. Overall, this class helped me become more confident in presenting, collaborating with others, and communicating complex ideas in a clearer and more effective way.
